We had one customer who brought in a Harrods Jacket to be cleaned for her mother, so she can wear it for a wedding. The jacket had a big stain on the front where her mother had last used it 4 years ago and put it away without noticing. She came to pull it out and noticed the unsightly stain.
The story of why the jacket is so important was a bittersweet story. The ladies mothers house burnt down, and all her personal and family memories were lost.
All the local villagers come together and offered new items, including this Harrods Jacket. It has been with the lady ever since and is very important to her. It does fill your hearts with happiness when you hear how human kindness can bring someone such joy in such sad times.
