A little kindness can make a Big Difference for Arthur Rank Hospice in Cambridge

Earlier today, we delivered several full bags of clothing to Naomi and Diana at the Arthur Rank Hospice Charity Shop in Great Shelford. Each piece was kindly donated by our clients and every item will now help raise funds to support local families through some of life’s most delicate moments.
It has now been more than two years since Farthings Dry Cleaners began gathering and delivering these donations. Over time, that steady rhythm of care has accumulated into something meaningful.
And it’s thanks to you.
Arthur Rank Hospice has been part of the Cambridgeshire community since 1981, offering essential care to people living with life-limiting illnesses. Their work supports individuals and their loved ones (whether in moments of transition, rest, or reflection).
They rely on donations not just to stock their charity shops but to sustain the wider hospice service that provides dignity, kindness, and expert care every single day.
Smaller, regional charities like Arthur Rank don’t have the marketing clout of the big national names — which makes continued support from local businesses and residents all the more vital.
Whether you're decluttering your home or finding items of clothing that no longer suit you, they might still be suitable for someone else. We would be glad to take it in. We will pass your garments to Arthur Rank's shops in a clean, respectful condition, ready for sale for a good cause.
